Group Policy Management
Group Policy management with native tools provides administrators with enough capabilities
to implement Group Policies. However, for true change management and availability
of Group Policies to be maintained, additional solutions are required. ScriptLogic’s

its advanced management capabilities:
- Group Policy History is maintained, allowing administrators to compare current policies with previous versions and, if required, roll an older version back into production.
- An Offline Repository is utilized to provide a non-production environment for administrators to make changes to Group Policies without worrying about their affect. Offline policies can be compared to their online counterparts prior to publishing them to Active Directory.
- Change Management can also be implemented with the Offline Repository – administrators with Read permissions can edit an offline policy, but only administrators with Change or higher permissions can approve and publish a changed policy back into Active Directory.
- Active Administrator’s Offline policies can be used in RSoP calculations making the calculation include potential changes as well as live policies, unlike native tools which only can use live policies.
