• How is Asset Manager licensed?
  • Asset Manager is licensed by the number of workstations, servers and VMWare ESX virtual servers being managed. When importing assets from SCCM or Altiris, a license is required for each asset imported and managed by Asset Manager.
    
    


• How is the Citrix XenApp connector option licensed?
  • The Citrix XenApp connector is licensed by the number of users who have access to the published applications.
    


• What is the Asset Manager for DA/HDA edition?
  • Asset Manager for DA/HDA Edition is available only to existing Desktop Authority and Help Desk Authority customers. This edition restricts product functionality in the areas of active and passive metering, software startup prevention, and VMWare license management. Asset Manager for DA/HDA is licensed by the number of workstations and servers managed.
    
    


• What is the Asset Manager Discovery Edition for ChangeBASE?
  • Asset Manager Discovery Edition for ChangeBASE is available to customers that are planning a migration project as a complement to the ChangeBASE product. This edition restricts the product functionality in the areas of software license management, active metering, software startup prevention, IT Asset Management, contract management, notifications, and Citrix and VMWare connectors. This edition is purely focused on software discovery and recognition and software usage metering and offers the ability to import asset data from SCCM or Altiris. Asset Manager Discovery Edition for ChangeBASE is licensed by the number of workstations and servers managed. When importing assets from SCCM or Altiris, a license is required for each asset imported and managed by Asset Manager.
    


• What is the Asset Manager Quick Scan Edition?
  • Asset Manager Quick Scan Edition is a time limited 30 day licensing option that restricts product functionality in the areas of active and passive metering and software startup prevention, but includes management of VMWare and Citrix Environments as well as the option to pull data from an existing SCCM or Altiris environment. Asset Manager Quick Scan Edition is licensed by the number of workstations and servers managed.When importing assets from SCCM or Altiris, a license is required for each asset imported and managed by Asset Manager.
    
    


• What is the Asset Manager Fast ROI Edition?
  • Asset Manager Fast ROI Edition is a time limited 90 day licensing option that provides full product functionality including management of VMWare and Citrix Environments as well as the option to pull data from an existing SCCM or Altiris environment. Asset Manager Fast ROI Edition is licensed by the number of workstations and servers managed.When importing assets from SCCM or Altiris, a license is required for each asset imported and managed by Asset Manager.


• How is Asset Manager licensed for Microsoft Terminal Services or Remote Desktop Services environments?
  • Asset Manager requires a license for the terminal server as well as each client that will access that terminal server (both thin and fat clients).


• What user license quantities are available?
  • You can purchase device bands ranging from a minimum of 50 devices to 5000+ devices.
    


• Where do I apply the License key?
  • In the Asset Manager Configuration Tool, click on the License Key tab. Then copy paste the license key string in the License Key field and click apply. It will then show all the modules provided by the license.
    
    


• Is an evaluation license available? What restrictions does it have?
  • Yes, a 30-day evaluation license is available that is fully functional with all modules and is limited to monitoring 50 devices.

• How are licenses delivered?
  • Once your order has been processed you will receive your license code or file by e-mail.


• How can I add more licenses?
  • The process is the same for all products, contact your reseller or ScriptLogic representative to purchase more licenses. ScriptLogic can be reached at contact us page. When your order has been processed you will be provided with a new electronic license for the total quantity of licenses you purchased.


• Do you offer any types of discounts?
  • Discounts are available for customers buying larger quantities of each product. See below for more details. Special pricing may be available through one of our Platinum or Gold Resellers. Not only do they provide efficient and effective support on a local level, but they may offer discounts from the published price.


• What about shrink-wrap product?
  • ScriptLogic does not sell any of its products with shrink-wrap packaging. All delivery of software and licenses is electronic.


• Can I just lease your software for a specific project?
  • Yes, some products are available to consultants for use in short-term projects. Ask your ScriptLogic representative for more information on ScriptLogic's Consultant License.


• Can ScriptLogic licenses be used worldwide?
  • No. ScriptLogic licenses by region. For example, if you acquired the licenses from the North America, you can only use those licenses in North America. The same concept applies for: (1) Europe, Middle East, and Africa, (2) Asia Pacific and (3) Latin America.
