Avril Salter

Dr. Salter is a knowledgeable, insightful, and enthusiastic technical marketing executive with over 20 years of experience in the wireless industry. She has held executive and technical positions at small startups and major corporations including IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Motorola, and Sprint. She has worked extensively in Europe, North America, Asia, and the South Pacific.
Dr. Salter has worked on many leading edge wireless technologies. She was part of the first GSM phone call made in Frankfurt and the first CDMA installations in Hong Kong. She worked at length on the ubiquitous 802.11 Wi-Fi technology. In 2004 she helped create the emerging OFDMA broadband wireless technology used in WiMAX and LTE. More recently, Dr. Salter worked with OEMs and ISVs to roll out web based subscription services to mobile subscribers.
Dr. Salter received her Ph.D. in engineering from the University of Reading, UK.
