Custom Script:
C1047
"Tweak XP"
As with most things, it is ok to resist change. When it comes to computer operating systems,
change often translates to expense. I'm sure that Windows XP will begin to 'grow' on us
all (much like the new C5 body style of the Chevrolet Corvette :).
However, if you're like most organizations, running a mixture of operating systems is something that can't
be avoided. This script allows you to customize the User Interface (UI) of Windows XP,
with the main intention of making it 'look and feel' like its predecessor, Windows 2000.
This greatly reduces expenses and productivity loss due to unfamiliarity with the WinXP
OS. With this script in place, your users will be productive because WinXP will look
just like their old WinNT4/Win2000 system. You won't need to immediately budget for
re-training users and help desk personnel, and once all your computers have the Windows XP
Operating System, you can re-enable certain features (or maybe not).
Like many ScriptLogic custom scripts, this one should be considered 'work in progress.'
We have chosen to publish this script now, so that everyone can benefit from the features
it has today, while we continue to improve it for the future. Be sure to visit www.scriptlogic.com regularly and check for updates to this script.
Note: This script is specifically
designed for ScriptLogic v4.0 (and newer)
