ScriptLogic will be ending support for version 4 of Secure Copy on September 1, 2010. All Secure Copy customers with active maintenance will be entitled to upgrade to the latest version of the product at no charge.

| Desktop Authority 7.x Anti-Spyware Option - New Technology, Discontinuation of Database Updates for Previous Technology |
ScriptLogic is developing a new release of Desktop Authority that will feature upgraded Spyware Detection and Removal technology (SDR). This new technology is planned to include a quick-scan capability, driver-based real-time detection and more frequent spyware signatures; all backed by a world-class spyware research team.
This new technology is planned for release during late February to early March 2008. After March 2008, the current version of Desktop Authority’s SDR technology will no longer be updated or supported with spyware signature updates. The SDR feature will continue to detect and remove as before, but it will not receive new spyware signature updates unless you upgrade to the latest version of Desktop Authority. ScriptLogic will notify customers of this new release when it becomes generally available.
All customers who have current support contracts will be entitled to an upgrade to the new version of the SDR technology free of charge.

Patch Distribution database updates for Desktop Authority 7.5 will cease on February 1, 2009. Customers should update to the latest release of Desktop Authority 7 to ensure continued updates and to get extra Patch Management features.

| Patch Authority Plus database updates—STATUS UPDATED |
Licenses for Patch Authority Plus are no longer available for sale. The list of applications and Operating Systems patched by Patch Authority Plus is available in the ScriptLogic Knowledge Base. No new applications or Operating Systems will be added to this list, although the patch database will continue to be maintained with new patches for applications and Operating Systems currently supported by Patch Authority Plus, until the customer’s support expires or until February 2009, whichever is sooner.
Patch Authority Ultimate offers superior functionality, adding significant new features such as agent-based deployment, report roll-up and support for new platforms and applications. The list of applications supported by Patch Authority Ultimate is also in the ScriptLogic Knowledge Base. Customers can purchase a migration from Patch Authority Plus to Patch Authority Ultimate by contacting their reseller or a ScriptLogic representative. |
| Desktop Authority Support for old versions of Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer |
From Dec 31, 2007, Desktop Authority will no longer support versions of Microsoft Office earlier than Office 2000, and will not support Internet Explorer versions earlier than version 6.

| Desktop Authority Remote Management and Microsoft JVM |
From December 31, 2007, the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (JVM) is no longer supported and should not be used. to update to Desktop Authority 7.x to continue to receive updates and access
extra features related to Spyware Removal.

From Desktop Authority
version 7.6 onward, features that support Windows 95, 98, Me and NT4
Workstation clients will not be enhanced and any new features added to Desktop
Authority will not support Windows 95, 98, Me or NT4 Workstation clients.
From October 1, 2007,
new releases of Desktop Authority will not support Windows 95, 98, Me or NT4
Workstation clients.
Please note that
ScriptLogic has no plans to discontinue support for NT4 Domains at this time.
