Getting Started

The getting started wizard contains links for most actions that you wish to perform.

To Repackage an Application for Deployment

If you have an existing installation program that needs to be deployed then you need to follow the repackaging process. There are several ways to start the repackaging process:

• from the initial wizard screen click the top link
• click the Repackaging button
• File>New>Repackage By Snapshot

To Create a New Installation Program

If you want to create an installation program from scratch then you can use one of the templates to get started. There are several ways to get started:

• From the initial wizard screen click the middle link ‘Create a New Setup Installation for a Software Program'
• Select the 'New' button and then select a template to use.
• From the menu select File>New>From Template>.. and then select a template to use.

After you select the template to use it will open allowing you to edit it.

To Open an Existing Package

To open an existing package, whether a transform or a msi file there are several ways:

• From the file menu select File>Open and then browse for the file to open.
• Click on the open file button on the toolbar
• Click the link on the main wizard page 'Open an Exisitng File'
• Click on one of the links 'Recently Opened Projects' which lists all the recently opened projects.

View the Difference Between 2 MSI’s

• Click the link on the bottom left hand side.
• Use the menu Tools>Compare 2 MSI's
