Applies to: Desktop Authority (all versions)
If your web browser does not support Java (as is the
case with Windows XP out of the box), you need to download the Java

remotely access the clients with Desktop Authority installed -- and only if

Microsoft Q245148 Hotfix for Windows NT 4.0 clients with Service Pack 6
Applies to: ScriptLogic v4 (and newer), Desktop Authority (all versions)
Unfortunately, Microsoft introduced a bug with the release of Service Pack 6 for Windows NT 4.0.
This bug primarily effects the winlogon.exe module (which also controls
logoffs), and prevents the SL/DA desktop agent from cleanly intercepting
the logoff and shut down requests.
If you have NT 4.0 clients, this Hotfix must be installed to them. The English version of this Hotfix
is included with the core ScriptLogic and Desktop Authority downloads. If
your network has localized (non English) versions of NT 4.0, you will need
to download the appropriate localized version of this Hotfix.
Both ScriptLogic and Desktop Authority will attempt to automatically install this Hotfix provided: 1)
The update is needed by the client, and 2) The Hotfix exists in the
NETLOGON share (or subfolder) that slogic.bat was executed from during the
logon process.
Please refer to KB
article T1086 to obtain the localized version of this download
